Simple tools for everyday school and study needs.
Gakuno is a free, student-focused website created to make common school and study calculations quicker and easier. Instead of searching for a different calculator every time, students can find several useful tools together in one simple place.
Whether you are checking your percentage after an exam, calculating an average, working out a GPA, converting units, checking your age, setting a study timer or figuring out the marks needed for a target percentage, Gakuno is designed to keep the process straightforward.
The goal is not to replace learning. The tools are meant to help students understand and handle small calculations so they can spend more time focusing on their actual studies.
Gakuno keeps the interface clean and focused so that a student can open a tool, enter the required information and get an answer without unnecessary steps.
The website is lightweight and works directly in a modern web browser, making it useful whether you are studying at home, preparing for an exam or working on homework.
Gakuno is currently a simple browser-based project and will continue to evolve with useful student-focused features.
The student behind Gakuno.
Avyaan Sahu is a student with an interest in coding, artificial intelligence, technology and building useful projects.
He created Gakuno with a simple idea: useful student tools should be easy to find, easy to understand and accessible in one place. What started as a practical project is intended to grow into a helpful collection of tools for students and learners.
Gakuno reflects his interest in using technology not just to experiment, but to create things that can be genuinely useful in everyday life.
Understand the ideas behind the calculators.
These short explanations are designed to help students understand what each tool calculates, how the basic formula works and where the result can be useful.
A percentage expresses a number as a part of 100. It is commonly used in schools to describe exam marks, attendance, discounts, statistics and many other quantities.
If you score 72 marks out of 80, the percentage is (72 ÷ 80) × 100 = 90%.
Students can use percentages to check examination results, compare scores and understand how marks translate into a percentage.
The Marks Calculator adds marks from the subjects you enter and gives the total, number of subjects entered and average marks.
If five subjects have scores of 70, 75, 80, 65 and 90, the total is 380 and the average is 76.
It can help students quickly review their performance across several subjects before calculating percentages or reviewing their study progress.
GPA, or Grade Point Average, is a way of summarising academic performance using grade points. Different schools, colleges and boards may use different grading systems.
If four subjects have grade points of 8, 9, 7 and 10, the simple average is (8 + 9 + 7 + 10) ÷ 4 = 8.50.
This calculator provides a simple average. If your institution uses credit-weighted GPA or a specific conversion system, follow the official rules of your institution.
The Age Calculator determines your age in years, months and days from your date of birth and the current date.
It compares the birth date with today's date and accounts for whether the current month and day have already passed.
If a person's birthday was several years ago, the calculator can show the completed years together with the additional months and days since their last birthday.
It can be useful for checking age for school forms, competitions, applications and personal reference.
Unit conversion changes a measurement from one unit to another without changing the quantity itself.
1 metre equals 100 centimetres, while 1 kilogram equals 1000 grams. Temperature conversion uses a different mathematical relationship.
Unit conversion is especially useful in mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography and everyday measurements.
A timer can help divide study time into manageable sessions and make it easier to begin a task without worrying about the entire workload at once.
The built-in timer starts with a 25-minute session. You can start, pause or reset the session at any time.
Try choosing one specific task before starting the timer. When the session ends, take a short break before deciding whether to continue.
The Basic Calculator handles simple arithmetic expressions using numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, parentheses and percentages.
It can be useful for checking arithmetic while working through homework, provided students still understand the mathematical method behind the answer.
The Target Marks Calculator tells you how many marks correspond to a chosen target percentage out of a given total.
For a 90% target in a test worth 500 marks: 500 × 90 ÷ 100 = 450 marks.
Students can use this result as a simple target while planning revision. It is a goal-setting aid, not a prediction of final results.
